what, if any upgrades will i need to do? will i need to adjust the timing, spark plugs, will i need 93 octane, its a boost of 15-35 hp depending on the spray nozzle. they said nothing is NEEDED, but... what do you think??

I'd just try to find a meth injection kit for your 3400. look on snowperformance.com or something they make good kits.

if you dont know much about meth kits, google search them. thats my next performance mod after i install my tranny hard parts. its slipping now.

i dont think a n2o kit is worth it for only 15-35hp.

I think it sounds like a waste of time- a 12 oz bottle is stupid small, and that thing is gonna run dry quick, even on a 30 hp shot. If you're doing all the work to install a nitrous setup, why go with such a baby shot? I don't even think you'd be able to feel a 20 hp shot.

The safety of nitrous is usually more dependent on the parts and safety features with the kit- the more bells and whistles, the safer the kit- and the more quality the parts, the less likely of having a problem (like a stuck solenoid, etc). Even a tiny shot being sprayed in at idle, with the engine off, or with the engine at a real low RPM- or when the engine has a problem (low fuel pressure, etc)- is going to do damage.

IMO you really need to stick premium in that thing to run nitrous. On premium, I wouldn't worry about pulling timing or anything, because you shouldn't have any knock. I'd just be worried you'd have a lot of factory knock on 87 octane, and you go spraying on top of that. With that low of a shot, it may not hurt anything- but IMO its not worth the risk, just fill it with premium when you plan to use it.

I'd just try to find a meth injection kit for your 3400.
Isn't meth injection on an NA car kinda worthless? I'm sure it would kill any tiny KR he might have, but so would upping the octane level- I'm sure it would drop the actual intake air temperature too, but not enough to make a gain worth the money and time spent on install.

i dont think a n2o kit is worth it for only 15-35hp.
x10, if you're going to do nitrous, I'd start with at least a 50 shot. You're planning on doing all that work anyways to run the lines, electrical, and the drilling and such- may as well do a bigger nozzle with a real size bottle so you're not refilling all the time. If all you want is 15 -30 hp, I'd just start looking at doing normal engine mods first- that way you'd have the power 24/7.
