Default whistling sound

Hey guys, i have a 00' Monte Carlo 3.4L V-6. There's a whistling sound like a faint jet engine sound coming from my engine. I hear it when it's both idling and when i'm accelerating. I opened the hood and tried to listen where it's coming from and it sounds like it's coming from inside the engine itself. Any ideas on what this could be? I also recently replaced my radiator, radiator hoses, transmission line and water pump. Could any of these have anything to do with it? Thanks guys.

Could very well be a dead, dried, stuck bug in the opening of the airbox, I had this happen a loooong time ago in a truck I used to drive. Yes, true story.

You could have a gasket leaking somewhere. Check your throttle body gasket, upper intake gasket, lower intake gasket, and check the heads for compression.

I would agree with Nitehawkjcb, kinda sounds like it could be a leaking gasket.

x2 on a gasket leak. I would throw some soapy water in places and see if it bubbles from the air escaping.

My car sounded like that when I put my HV Throttle Body on, because I didn't think the gasket needed to be replaced. Took it back off and swapped the gasket and it was fixed

I definitely appreciate ya'lls feedback!! Thank you. Do ya'll think it could be a messed up serpentine belt? because i recently replaced my water pump without taking off the belt like i should have. Could this be contributing to the noise? And also if ya'll dont mind, how and where would i find some of those gaskets to check? Thanks again guys!

Gaskets are where parts meet together, so start there and try to listen for a noise like air escaping.

Or create a watery soapy solution and lightly spray it around to see if it bubbles up (from the air escaping)

Do you have a CAI? lol JK But if you are worried about gaskets I would get a compression test done. Are you having any other symptoms other than just the sound?

I'm not sure but ever since i changed the water pump and put a new radiator in it seems like my car isn't as "speedy" in acceleration as it use to be but i'm not 100% sure. As far as everything else on the car, works fine. It's just that whistling sound. However i noticed that when i'm stopped in one spot with the engine running, and i turn the wheel all the way to the left or all the way to the right, that whistling sound changes it's pitch. That would be something with the power steering system wouldn't it? Thank you guys for all your feedback!
