would a magnaflow cat get rid of the u bend, does that one just bolt on and will i see a hp increase?
You need to slow down and read, I posted this just above:

However, you're trying so hard to find ways to make power- no one can suggest anything until you tell us all the engine mods you currently have, and how much you want to spend- then we can put you on track to what you can and should do.
Now, more specifically, back to your question:

would a magnaflow cat get rid of the u bend, does that one just bolt on and will i see a hp increase?
A cat is not a ubend- so no, if you buy a new cat and replace your cat as is, then you still have a ubend and an otherwise stock downpipe. Sure you could have an exhaust shop do a ubend delete while they're installing the cat, there wouldn't be much extra work to it- but many shops are VERY against doing them for some reason (liability of the O2 sensor getting snagged on road debris I assume).

Does what one bolt on? You didn't link to anything, or give us a clue what we're looking for. Assuming you're just going to call up Magnaflow and buy a cat- of course it won't bolt up- the factory cat is welded in as part of the downpipe assembly. So obviously you'll have to get your cat cut out and the new one welded up.

Personally, I wouldn't waste my time- you're not going to gain hardly any power- its not a real big restriction unless your factory one is plugged.

I disagree- if you buy a quality tuner like DHP PT or HPT, the risk is very minimal- and is almost completely user caused (ie unplug during a flash, let the car or laptop battery go dead mid flash, etc). While I don't think the tuner/programmer should be his next mod, a real tuner is not going to fry your pcm.
I knew you would, ! What caused my PCM to buy the farm was the Hypertech Power Programmer 3. I got the dealer's receipt to prove it. That's THE programmer I was TALKING about. I'll tell everyone and their mother-in-law not to buy one, but that's MY opinion from MY experience. I now have HP tuner and I'm very happy with it.(Although I'm still learning how to use the thing).

No need to get worked up, I'm sure yours did fry the pcm- I was just saying that not every tuner/programmer is going to fry your pcm.

This is what I mean:

but stay away from the programmers
And hence why I always say I'd avoid any programmers except the proven ones like DHP or HPT- instead of making a blanket comment about all programmers being bad.

! Not worked up, but making sure my spelling was correct. I have problems translating from Spanish to English at times and getting my point my point across can be trying sometimes.

In the picture you can see where the O2 sensor gets screwed on. That section is straight. That's where the U-bend used to be but in this DP it has been deleted.

If the cat you're looking at has a bung for an O2 sensor, then it is more than just a cat- its either a cat and ubend delete (which I've never seen for our cars- a part that just replaces from the cat to the rear downpipe flange)- or its a complete downpipe.

The thing in the picture posted above is a complete downpipe. If you were to buy just a cat as you were saying, this is all you would get:
