Transmission whine
Has anyone changed their trans fluid and then all of a sudden have a very low whine when you accelerate?
I changed mine yesterday in prep for going to the drag strip this weekend for the first time, and now I have a very low whine when I accelerate. I've checked the fluid level and its right where it needs to be at, I used the correct fluid, Dexron 6 full synthetic, replaced the filter while I was at it. The whine is very very quite but its something that was never there before. Can only hear it with radio off, the fans off, windows rolled up. and seems to go away after shifting into second.

i've had a tranny whine after changing the fluid, but it was because it was a quart low on fluid, so I just topped it off, and the whine went away...
Did you drive thecar around for a while before checking the fluid level again? You did check it with the car turned on right?
How much trans fluid did you put in it after the change. With my 2006, I have to but like 7.75 quarts in it with a pan drop, and filter change...which is a tiny bit more than the manual says it takes (7.4Q)...

Proper checking without driving around.
Start the car, let it warm up to normal operating temp (around 10-15 mins)
sit the car on a level area
shift through all the gears slowly from P down to 1, and then slowly back.
Then get out and check the dipstick.
I agree, the whine isn't right...
