Ok I have a 2000 Monte Carlo that has a L67 swap done my trans took a L on my way home one night I have the Zzp HD upgrade kit a L67 torque converter already so what year trans can I get an just install it an go about my day with out doing anything to the ecu like would impalas park aves Grand Prixs regals other monte Carlos like what year NA trans will work ??

 

What transmission did you have in there that blew? Given your other HD upgrade thread, I'm assuming you used your stock '00 transmission.

If that's the case- you would probably have the 3.05 final drive which is used in many of the NA 3800 cars except the 97-03 grand prixs. That would let you use a transmission from an impala, other monte, bonnevilles, buicks, etc.

 

I have a stock 00 factory trans so when i go get a other trans what model year etc do I look for
