Default Torque Converters?

Hello, I'm a new to the forum and I lots of questions about my 2002LS . I am having many problems with it. I just hit 60,000 miles, my warranty ended there also, and everything is going wrong. I just replaced the intake gaskets, and replaced the BCM. I'm not sure if it is the torque converter clutch or what but the car is accelerating slowly at first. While I'm on the highway it is fine until I let off of the pedal and the rpm's drop but when I stop and accerlate again I have to push the pedal almost all the way down to the floor to get the car going. I have noticed it is drastically affecting my gas mileage, and it seems to be getting worse every time I drive it, almost to the point where it takes a few seconds after pushing the accelerator to the floor that the car moves. Does anyone know what it could be? And if so what is the severity of the problem?

Thank you!

And if it is a Cat it is still covered under warranty. It is mandated to be covered for 8 years or 80,000 miles.
