Torque Wrenches

Default Torque Wrenches

What does everyone use as far as torque wrenches are concerned? I have very few, and most are within the 45-200 inch pound area. and I am going to be looking at 10-200 ft lbs.

What brand do you guys recommend?

I have used snapon, but paying 400 bucks a wrench will kill me in the wallet area...

Yeah, I understand that part. I was more aiming for what brand that everyone uses.

i dont really know how many names there are out in those, but there's a place in michigan called harbor freight tools that sells one for 10 bucks and its awesome! we bought one because it's the exact same one they sell for 100 bucks up here, and it works great

Wow, I just pulled the company up. 19 bucks for a 10-150 ft lb wrench. Thats incredible! Sure beats 400 bucks from snapon!

and its just as good, it doesn't have the warranty or any of that digital crap, but it works for doing wheels and engine stuff

I've got 2 Digitork from Craftsman. Great quality, good price. I just wish there was some kind of warning clicker on them, but the slip option works nice.

yah, I need the audio indicator, as that is what I have been used to using for the past 3 years...

i use 2 craftsman clickers, inch lb anda foot lb. never had any troubles with em, acurate enough that there isnt a noticable difference between mine and other torque wrenches in the shop, although not ever actually tested.
