supercharging an 03 SS...
I beleive supercharging an NA engine is between $1000 - $2000 after all materials are totalled up. I would check ZZP and Wbodystore because I beleive they have kits designed specifically for this.
Just remember that the transmission isn't cut out to do this. Your better bet would be a low boost turbo. Safer on the KR side as it is cooler, easier on the transmission due to lag, offers more horsepower since it doesn't leach off the engine, and finally better gas milage - once again the leaching factor.

IMO, ZZPerformance is the place to go for top swaps. They offer everything you need, AND are VERY knowledgable on 3.8's
Here is their link to the top swap kit:

so its easier to switch out say an already supercharged engine from an 04 but it will have more horses if I just keep the engine from the 03 and do it the hard way? hopefully this post isnt dead cause I want more information on this topic. I just looked up all the parts ide need to swap and its lookin around 1800$ would it be easier and more effective to just add the turbo kit from zzperformance? Ahh I have so many questions!

You would have more power witha top swap though.

As a start look in the classifieds here:

and if you need misc parts asap (and don't mind paying more than they go for on the forums):

hmm alright thats much more affordable sounding I was lookin at prices with the kit and all the different things the site said I needed ( I dont remember what site I was lookin at[:@] but I think my main fear of doing it is not doing it right or not gettin all the parts needed. What parts are 100% needed to supercharge and do it properly?

Like Silverbullit said, both he and another guy were selling almost all of the parts you would need and weren't asking for much at all. Especially compared to the $1800 or whatever ZZP and W-body store are asking for their setups.
Seems like if you wanted to spend over $1500 on a topswap, you could probably get a Gen 5 M90 or a ported Gen 3 M90 or a set of modified heads thrown in, at least.
Good luck with the search though to those of you that are looking.
I should have a used Gen 3 blower with an mps system on it for sale in a couple of months too.
Not really expecting to get much for it either (the MPS/pulley will probably sell faster and for more than the blower itself so I'll probably separate them).

That lists pretty much everything I can think of- thats probably also where you got the steep price quote from. You pay a lot extra for the convenience of having someone else get all the parts for you.
