I have a 2000 Monte Carlo SS that has a 3800 none supercharged. I wanna install a 3800 supercharger. Has anyone ever made this swap ? I plan on buying a engine and trans. Do I have to change the wire harness ?

 

to answer the 2 questions in your post, yes and no.

what i would do (and did) is if the engine and transmission in the car is fine right now, then do a top swap. search the term "top swap" on any monte carlo or grand prix forum and you will find what you are looking for.

 

I second vikesfan. There is tons of threads on this here and other 3800 forums. Do a little search and you will be reading for hours and hours about what is needed and how to do the swap.
