does the idle RPM's drop? or do the rpm's fluctuate? it could be a clogged fuel filter, car needs a tune up.... quite a bit of small stupied things. is it throwing a check engine or service engine code?

If the problem started after the tune up, you may want to make sure the wires are correctly plugged in, avoid crossfire of the wires by using the guides and may want to check for the wire's resistance as well. Check your EGR, remove it and clean it (if necessary), and don't forget the EGR passage in the manifold, and most def clean the TB/maf. My previous car was a 97 ls and was giving me problems with the idle as well. It turned out to be the EGR and it's passage onto the manifold. The EGR was bad and the passage was almost plugged shut. Also had problems with crossfire which the guides solved.

If you're talking about the EGR I replaced mine with a stock replacement and it worked just fine. I'm not aware of a better replacement, but it doesn't mean there isn't one out there. Maybe another member knows something I don't. Just make sure to inspect and check the EGR valve to make sure it isn't sticking and clean the EGR passage into the manifold. It took me a while to get it clean right 'cause there was gunk in there for days.

I dont belive its a egr valve, but a cloged fuel filter would explain it. I havent changed it for many years i owned it lol. So i just may do that
