I've taken all your advise guys and A big Thanks! I have called GM customer assistance (2 days ago) and have opened a case and file number. They have called the dealerships that are involved and are still on it. I expect another call back from GM later today. Yes the Tech installed a brand new TC and clutch assy and uses GM Dex 6. The tech (Mike) is a pretty good guy and a straight shooter. I know everything that is in this trans now. I asked GM to have my information (pictures and time line of events) to be e-mailed to a district manager.
More to come.
Sincerely,
Rob~

Glad to hear that you got GM involved. I would be surprised if they literally did nothing for you, especially since you are still under warranty. As usual, keep us informed, and GOOD LUCK!

Update:
I recieved a call from both Gm and from the Dealership, that the trans was road tested and ran and put on the scanner and shift points reloaded into the ECM etc. The car will be returned friday since the trans tech found a leaky mastercylinder while the trans was out and he and reported it to the service manager. It has been in the shop since 9/23/09 . I can't wait till friday.

Well I got three days commute to and from work on the SS, Seems much better. So far so good. All kinds of goodies and tricks into this trans. Nice and quiet too, compared to the last trans GM put into it. I will be going after the 1st dealership that worked on the car for some items left unresolved. But at least she runs good. Yeaaaaaaa!

Glad to hear it's working good now. These electronic cars can be finicky, and the tranny's are part of it. My guess, from a similar experience, was that you had a bad solenoid in the tranny. They can be new and bad. Been there, done that myself. Ask any reliable transmission shop and they will tell you the same thing. By reliable, I DO NOT mean AAMCO.

I haven't been in touch with the GM customer service rep lately, The SS still is running as it should. Way more than just a simple solenoid repair. I wish it had been only a solenoid. The 2nd Dealership that I took it to, to finally have the repairs done, did a very detailed professional job. They will be my choice for any further business hands down. The Dealership where I purchased the Monte, is a pretty big company chocked full of family members and friends (that probably shouldn't be in the business), GM will need to do some serious damage control before this is all over though. They broke my door panel and some other stuff, and to top it off, I have leftover parts in a bag and tools that were left in the car from them at the 1st dealership when they had worked on it and quite a few items are still unresolved from them yet. I need to talk to an area GM rep yet to show them all the pictures etc.
They allegedly ordered a replacement door panel but keep telling me the door panel is on back order, but I see that I can purchase the door panel myself on GMparts dot com. Someone's not telling the truth there.
Off my soap box for now,
Thanks to all!
Rob~
