i think you guys are misunderstanding me ...i found it easier to use a very very small and sharp chisel(not hitting with hammer lol...scrapping) to remove old gasket cause some parts are hard to get to....then very lighly use some sand paper to get fresh clean metal your not going to sand metal with lightly sanding with paper sand paper in hand you dont have enough room to really remove metal also mine has no ....no no leaks what so ever you want very very very clean metal.....i also used brake cleaner about 5 cans or 6 cans....if you leave anything on there you WILL have a LEAK and have wasted HOURS or DAYS of your TIME......GOOD LUCK
