Question PCM Box

Sup everyone, i dropped in a "CAI" in my Monte almost a year ago (really it's a warm air intake), but i just bought the cone filter and dropped it in place of the old restrictive air-box. i did not buy the entire system b/c it was (and for the time being still is) way out of my price range ($200+). it fits very securely in place, braced on what is the remaining part of the stock air box that is housing the PCM.

the problem: i want to remove the stock air box completely to free up the PCM and get my air filter further away from the engine, but if i do, the air filter will flop around like a fish out of water, and eventually fall out. plus, the PCM will no longer be protected. Are there any suggestions of a home-made PCM housing and a way to brace the filter until i get the proper housing for it? Or is it better to just wait and leave it as it is now? Thanks a lot everyone!!!

Get yourself a PCM box from a 5th gen Monte. I too didn't want my PCM laying out in the open, so with just a few minor modifications I was able to make the 5th gen box fit just fine. It even has an attached vent hose to help plumb cool air into it. Mine was $3 at Pick n' Pull, your mileage will vary!
