p0705 trans code and others
got a 02 monte ss with s/c engine and 4t65e-hd trans. the code is p0705 that is trans range switch circuit. any one know how to fix this problem. this is the 3 trans that has been put in the car and acts the same as the last 2 that burnt up and i dont want to fry this one. when u take off it slips and shudders acts weird through all gears. also when trying to go into passing gear it free reves and wont shift. the way that it acts is very inconsistant. could it be this code making it act like this or could it be the torqucoverter. also have 2 other codes that are p0730 witch is inproper gear ratio and i had the pcm flashed for the s/c swap and the gear ratio so im not sure why i have this code . and the other p01652 this is powertrain induced chassis pitch circuit. not sure why i have this code eather. so any advice would be helpful thanks

P0730 code is harsh shift code (from bad solenoid) Or abuse.. obviously your using used transmissions for it to be the 3rd one.(you never know what your getting in a used trans) I would recommend getting a competition rebuild on the trans.(heavy duty buildup) or get a standard rebuild and stop beating on it? These transmissions aren't really built for it! (The weak link in these Monte Carlos)
P01652 is a bad fan relay code.
The solenoid is a shift solenoid..its in the transmission.. Unless your mechanically inclined to change it...I'd take it to a trans shop to have it replaced. Since the pan has to be removed... I would also recommend doing a filter and fluid change.
But it sounds like you have much more serious issues going on with it.... Just maybe time for a rebuild.

. I highly recommend going to a reputable shop..you may pay a little more but it will be worth it...Cheaper isn't always better...
If,
You lived in the Michigan area.. I have a Great Trans guy... Great work Great prices.
But I see you don't have your profile filled out to know where your from.
i was told it could be the safety neutral switch. people say its on top of trans but its not so that makes me think its in the shifter. does any one know for sure where it is and how much and do i have to get it from gm.
If it was the Neutral safety switch your couldn't get it out of park or be able to start the vehicle in Park or neutral.

The Park/Neutral safety switch allows the car to only start in park or neutral (I'm not aware of any other function it serves, not sure how this plays into your current trans issues).
Not sure where Port Clinton Ohio is to Cleveland/Mentor Ohio, but in Mentor is a shop known as Northern Ohio Transmission. They are VERY reputable with trans re-builds. You could also contact Triple Edge Performance (I am not sure where they are out of, but they specialize in the 4T65 transmissions).
