got a 96 monte with 3.1 leaks coolant when hot, it doesn't seem to be the intake manifold gasket, its leaking behind the water pump hosing but I can't pinpoint this darn thing. any ideas? man I am getting fustrated....Thanks Troy

Agreed, it probably is but you won't know for sure until you do a pressure test on your coolant system.

 

I agree, sounds like the seal to the pump went out. When this happens a small factory made hole permits small amounts of coolant to escape. The pressure test will be the ticket.

 

it had a crack in the timing cover, pulled one out of a bone yard for 20 bucks problem solved.....
