Default Is my tranny going out

2003 monte ss, shifting ruff, and hesitating at times. Anybody know what's wrong? Or anything I can do to make it run/shift better.

Could be the solenoids in the trans. Any engine codes for these symptoms?

Just to add...my Monte started having slip and shift delay issues about 6mo. ago, and just the other day began to slip from a stop, then to the point of not going forward unless I put the shifter into 1st or 2nd. As I had guessed...when I dropped the pan, I discovered that my forward band had broken.

when was the last time you did a drop pan and put in a new filter and fluid? mine did some thing similar till I did a new filter and new fluid. I would do a service like that see if it would clear it up if not it might be a solinoids. but droping the pan might give you some sight on whats going on in there.
