That's so far away Frank!! LOL!As for the block, the S2 and S3 are 100% the same block. To be honest their is barely much difference in a S2 vs S3. The aluminum UIM and drive by wire tb are the most noticable, some years had an aluminum oil pan..... 2005+ had forged connecting rods for improved durability vs the previous cast rods. OH and I believe the returnless fuel system.
Outside of that, the engines are interchangable (as your about to finish finding out). You will be the L26 master in a L36 world Frank!!

What years did the S3's have the black valve covers?
