Yes I have ZZP's reusable comp cam bolts. Just know that those have a different TQ rating than normal rocker bolts.

I think they are 23ft/lb as opposed to the 12ft/lb+30degree of normal TTY bolts.
Oh and that wont happen mike, i know what'll happen im only using sandpaper and polish

yea i saw the torque specs in the description

This is what i found under the L36 UIM lol you can see all of the coolant in there too, im sure a ton of it leaked through the runners causing the death of my motor? lol

i also got all the parts i needed from the L36 so i'll probably take it back for my core refund haha i fell too lazy to remove the oil pan and check it out (sorry Jason ) lol

anybody need something off of it before it goes?

WTF WTF WTF

i didnt know these L26 LIMs only had two coolant passageways
that explains the gunk on the Head passage ways lol
i just now figured this out since im trying to clean them up, here i am thinking its one big blob stuck on both sides of LIM, so im trying to beat the crud out with a screwdriver and on the other side i started drilling it with a metal bit and i see aluminum chipping off lol luckily i didn't drill all the way through haha never knew this about them, is it the same on other LIMs? :p

Looks like some good progress Frank. You should get rid of that strap and get a chain on that motor. It could save your life.

im still searching for a new spring compressor lol
ordered some new reusable Rocker bolts from ZZP
i got both of the heads off today, tried removing the springs to get to those valve seals but no luck getting them off i also put my trans case back on, going to wash it hopefully soon and paint it black started sanding my UIM, this one sure isnt going to get a mirror or near perfect finish since theres so many hard to sand areas but at least it'll look nice when im done

they actually cleaned up pretty nice, still have to clean up the inside of the UIM some more lol

My LIM is soaking overnight in some degreaser, going to paint it as well, if i can get a new spring compressor tomorrow and get those springs off, im going to clean up the heads and install new valve seals. still have the block to clean up then everything should be ready to go back together i think haha

I have used the red scotch brite pad from a kit like this to clean the deck surface of the block where the head sits:
2" Surface Conditioning Kit
But you want to blow out the cylinders and make sure that debris is OUT of the cylinder (helps to shove rags in the ones that you can).

That kit comes in handy for a LOT of stuff!!

Just don't focus on one area, buzz the surface constantly. DO NOT use sand paper (or at least I would not).

OH and did swap sensors over? Like the MAP sensor? I'm not 100% sure the L26 uses the same sensors the L26 uses. Just a thought, compare them before they are GONE!
