Default Monte Shut Down

I have a 06 SS with 7,450 miles so it hasnt been drove much. Today i was at a Doc App and came out and my keyless entry wouldnt work so i manully had to open it, no dome light no brake lights my mirrors wouldnt work nothing.. The battery was jumped still nothing and i couldnt get my key out of the ignition either so we un hooked the positive cable for reasons unknown to me and after re-attaching it, i was outside by the drivers door 10min later and i leaned on the door and moved it and everting came on and it started and ran fine so far..Any hints? Could it be a security system glitch that got reset after the battery was disconnectd and reconected after about 10 min? It goes in the shop in the AM ..Thanks

it might have to do with the battery run-down protection system, not sure though, wish i could be more helpful, sorry!! take it to the shop, is it sill under a factory warranty? if so, take it in!!!

Maybe a poor connection at the battery was the culprit.

Sounds like corrosion! The battery connectors in our cars tends to get dirty and corroded fast. I usually clean mine every 2-3 months, due to the dusty conditions here in Oklahoma City, and find that the car's electrical system works much better. I also replaced the battery with a red top Optima and a rewire from zzp, just to up the amperage in the system since I'm running more than one amp and a few other things. If you still have the original battery, I would recommend going with an Optima and doing preventive maintenance on it every few months. Also, using a little dab of dielectric grease aids in maintaining a good path between the connectors and the battery.

It went in the shop and all it was is that the car had been stored alot before i owned and they never really had the cables tight on the Battery Posts and they just worked there self looser over time. The Serivce Manager actully pulled them off by hand so he tightend them and so far so good.. Lets hope that was all.. Thankd for
