Default I'm sure it's been asked, but .....

I've said in other post that I hope to remove my blower and install a ZZP Z3 turbo kit 12-14 psi. I want to add a small cam. I liked the ST1 cam, but ZZP discontinued it. But the INTENSE S1X Turbo cam is still available. Who all is running this cam? Hows the power band? Does it have good driveability at low RPM when drive around town? Does it make as much power as the ST1 cam?
It looks similar to a ST1 cam but just a little more aggressive.
Please help.

Hasn't anyone run this cam? The S1X turbo cam
Is a reverse split pattern design while the ST1 is a single
Pattern design. Which design would be better on a ZZP Z3 turbo kit with the 6262 turbo?
I'm curious how the driveability will be with the Intense S1X cam.

No disrespect to those on this forum, but our population of active members with a turbo is pretty small. The population of turbo members with any cam is even smaller. The population of turbo members specifically with these 2 cams is so small as to be probably nonexistent.

Not trying to drive you away from this board, but it's probably worth asking on one of the few remaining bigger 3800 boards if you want 1st hand info.

If you liked the ST1, any reason for not just going ST2? It's really not that much bigger and is still a really mild cam. It's just a hair bigger than a S1X.

If the ST1 was really what you had your heart set on, I'd imagine either ZZP could still get one made or they'd give you the specs to have one made yourself. Would take a bit longer than a shelf stocked cam like the others, but it shouldn't take that much time. Just an option.

You make a great point. I know this site doesn't have as many members as before. But I could always contact Comp Cams and see what they charge to do a ST1 version cam.

Thx

Comp charges $435 to make a cam that's the same as the ST1. Not cheap, but it is available.
