Why not do the sleeper intake mod like I did? I made a wright up about it on the 5th gen how to section... check it out.

that is neat... but a Fender Well Intake is the best choice for power on a light to mild mod'd car. you get the most for your work and money. click either web page in my sig and there are writeups in there for how too's.

 

Well actually i just bought and installed a K&N high performance air filter. That gave it a real nice boost. But I'm looking to still add more. So the more ideas the better. Thanks to all who have replied so far!

 

I've been looking into upgrades for my 3.1 and and found that WOT-Tech.com makes camshafts for the 3.1-3.5 engines and they are made for them by Comp Cams. I don't see a listing for the 3.9 on the cam buying section but I would check with them to see if they could get you the MPG/torque cam grind for your style camshaft since it sounds like your looking for a little extra power but don't want to spend much more on gas. Of course this wouldn't be a basic bolt on though and would require the motor to be removed.
