Having issues with my 01SS
I've been having a few issues with my SS lately. First off there's a whining coming from the engine but not sure what it is, the loudness of it varies. Second the steering feels like its rubbing or something, i can feel vibrations and it's quite loud sometimes, i can't really turn with much confidence anymore. And lastly when I get on it the engine jerks pretty hard and the check engine light will flash sometimes, I have no idea what it is. I've recently changed the fuel filter and done an oil change. PLEASE HELP!!!

- First - Your whine and steering issue is because you're out of power steering fluid. Check for power steering leaks and hopefully the pump and rack are not damaged from driving with lower fluid.
- Second - Go to the parts store and have them find out what the code is that flashed on your car. No sense taking guesses if the car gives a big clue.

The whine could be a few things. PS fluid like mentioned, a wheel hub starting to go bad, or the alternator.
If the CEL is flashing, it's a misfire. Plugs and Wires should probably be changed (don't use Bosch)
The rubbing you are feeling, could be the Intermediate Steering Shaft (ISS). Very easy to shoot some white lithium grease on the knuckle and quiet it down. I do that every spring as part of my spring cleaning.
What you do, is take the panel off that is above your gas and brake pedals (just 2 clips) and then you should see a rubber boot covering a teal colored piece. In there is the knuckle, turn the wheel to the left and spray white lithium grease into that knuckle, then turn it right and spray more, then turn it a few times to get the grease in, and you are good to go!
