Default Overfilled on oil 06SS

I overfilled my oil in my 06ss
It was low and I just put to much in
Dumb mistake on my part I know I feel like an idiot.
The level is now at the start of the curly part of the dipstick
Maybe 1/2 inch above the full.

I'm not in a position right now to drain some out at least for about a week
I'm also about 300 kms from an oil change

My question is can I drive it without doing damage at this level at least for maybe a week or 2?
And if so, do I drive it lighter than I usually do?

A half inch above the full mark seems like a lot to me? How much did you add? How low were you initially?

My thoughts are:

If you drive it with too much oil, you will soon learn a very expensive lesson. If you have money to throw away and don't mind destroying your engine, be my guest and drive it with too much oil.

However, if you value your current engine and hard earned dollars, find a jack, find a wrench/ratchet/socket/whatever it takes to get the oil plug out, and drain some oil. If you are not capable of this line of work, please find someone who can do it for you before starting the car and/or driving it.

^^^Not trying to be a jerk with the above statements, just trying to save you some time and money, and prevent possible damage.

thanks,
It was pretty low, about a 1/4 full. the car does burn oil which i know, just with a lot of driving lately and no time i havent been able to attend to it. I know it sounds like a shoddy excuse, just it was some unusual recent circumstances.
I didn't think i put that much in - maybe a litre. But thats why i surprised it was over so much.

I'm without the proper tools right now where i am, but i have everything to do it about 15 miles away.
Could i do damage just a short trip like that or is it a risk that is too high?

A short trip with too much won't harm anything
