I don't know about the hood open sensor, I would check the linkage?

What is the weather like by you? If it is cold your warning message will tell you to watch for ICE. Does the car tell you the temperature? You might have that sensor gone too.

Service traction control could be a wheel hub assembly.

i'd just pop the hood and play with the sensor to see if i could get the light to go off and kinda judge the problem from there . . . whether it needs adjusting or replacing

i already did that and nothing the sensors cost 100 and some at the dealer but was wondering if there's a way if i could unplug it and rig it to think that its closed all the time so my remote start can work

The Ambient Air Sensor should be near the radiator, this link should help:

W SENSOR/TEMPERATURE OUTSIDE AMBIENT;. Fits: Impala, Monte Carlo | Nalley Buick GMC Brunswick

It's a $4 part from Rock Auto

There is no easy way to know which hub unless it is pretty bad, could just be a wiring issue to the hub also. Do you have an ABS light as well? That ABS light should throw an ABS Code to the hub.
