Engine Build: h-body l67 into w-body parts
#11
Yeah i dont like other people wrenching my car if i have a choice. Half the time i even mount my own tires lol. I will have to let someone else align it eventually

yeah i think i spent 250 on gaskets but i shopped around. got some from zzp and others from wbs. if you will have the L67 in there just build that up. no need to do topswap. unless you are going crazy small pulley, but in that case its best to do a turbo build.
I did a topswap cause i got a great deal on a running L36 with 4t65e that got my car back on the road. then i spent time porting the heads and SC and then dropped it all on. if you already have the L67 stay with it. it will deff be safer to tune then a topswap anyway.

The first l67 car i drove(99 gtp) was a letdown. Iwas was gonna l36 swap it then topswap later until a friend hooked me up with a 98 gtp pcm(bumpin said itll work fine). Found a 95000 mile l67 in the jy. So itll b scd sooner than i thought . Plan is now im gonna sell my la1, buy another 3.8 short block, rebuild thoroughly with 9.4:1 forged pistons. Collect an lq1 maf and tb. Port a spare m90 case and do m112 conversion. Headers, 1.9 ratio rockers, ported intake and heads, POSSIBLY a stroker kit if i come across one cheap(but not likely). And along the way pick up a tuner
