Hello John, spoke with Matt about the whole fuel layout and here is a drawing I sketched out based on our conversation.

The OEM fuel pump is left in place and the sending unit will still work for fuel level. He said gut it of the fuel pump or just leave it there as a whole unit. I neglected to ask but I assume you cut the power to the pump portion of the assembly.
Anyway I could get into a long drawn out post. Scope out the sketches and see if there are any gray areas to still be addressed.

LINK TO FUEL FILTER WITH SHUT OFF VALVE: Kind of like a secret fuel shut off against thieves too. Reach under flip it and no fuel.

Thanks greg that is awesome info!! I just need to figure out how to do the tank baffles etc. Not sure how to get in there to fasten it all with epoxy etc.

I also need to figure out what I'm going to do about fuel rails as no one makes aftermarket fuel logs for a N/A head configuration.

I'm using the ZZP billet fuel rails? Is that weird or okay? it was made to work.

Matt always reaches in throught the OEM pump opening to do the work. He pulls the tank from the car and goes from there. There is a special fuel resistant epoxy he uses which I will get it's name for you when you need it. There was one he used before and it actually ended up breaking down and now he found the correct one, which is being used on Sam's and my fuel tanks.

He said he had to make the fuel pick up a bell shape to broaden the fuel intake area. Said a small normal pick up size has a chance of becoming exposed to air if the fuel level gets to low, which would not be good. Said it was a trick to make a 2" diameter pick up mouth, but was able to do it. He feels it's mandatory to insure the greatest possible fuel intake when the fuel is sloshing around, if it gets to low. I always top off if I get under a 1/4 tank myself.

The newer style zzp rails are not bad but the older ones leaked on people and caught fire. Zzp don't make rails for N/A Heads though

Funny you would say that, because thats exactly why my car caught on fire on the dyno in Vegas when Brian was dynoing it.. The injectors would not seat and fuel escaped onto the hot manifolds. However now they have been heavily modified and no longer have that potential... I hope!

So whats the difference between n/a and boosted fuel rails? Anything huge?

Injector angle and height is the difference between the N/A and sc rails.

Sorry to hear you had the mishap with there original rails, you weren't the only one though!
