Engine cleanser important?

hmm to tell u the truth im not sure how i feel about seafoam. many people swear by it but u r braking all of the carbon up and then sending it thru ur fuel injectors which are incredibly small ports (um ya tiny). im prolly gonna try it but im not sure if i should

You know what cracks me up about the entire sea foam thing, is that I doubt it actually works. My dad and I took apart his motorcycle engine, and rebuilt it...The carbon deposits on top of his pistons, and at the very edge of the cylinder were litterally almost impossible to get off....We literally had to use a chizzle and san paper to get them off...No solvents even touched them because they were rock hard and stuck on there so good...
Therefore, I highly doubt tht sea foam does anything at all for cleaning carbon deposits...
All the smoke you see coming out of your tail pipe is probably just the seam foam itself burning off...and possibly ruining something in its path because its not ment to be there in the first place.
Anyway, this is my view on seafoam, and why I personally think its a sales gimmic.

I just did my first seafoaming ever.
I did do it by my parent's in fears that it would smoke. I poured it through the brake booster vacuum line, VERY slowly or else my engine died out. Let it sit for 45-60 minutes, and when I started her up!!!!!!!!!!.....
... I had a tiny little puff of black smoke that lasted all of 1 second. haha, I guess I had a pretty clean engine :P
And since nothing smoked, I'm going to say that you are wrong mike, the stuff doesn't smoke on it's own

SeaFoam definitely works. I've done it with great results a whole bunch of times.
I wouldn't run it through your M90 as I'd worry about the rotor coating, so I'd use the vacuum port on the lower intake right under the blower snout.
what vac line do you feed this stuff through? i put a can in my tank the other day but im not sure what vac line to feed it to. seems weird haha

This is off subject, but I like your Monte, especiallly that hoodscoop. The only place I've seen to get a custom hood with the scoop on it like that is at www.pfyc.com and it costs $549 then there's shipping charges, comes unpainted, and unprimed, plus the labor to install that thing, I'd guess it would cost at least $1,000. But where did you get yours? Also, is that a custom paint? It looks maroon and I've never seen a maroon Monte before.

i got it from pfyc.com when it was actually $699 + shipping. they estimate its 150-200 on pfyc depending on if its shipping to a rural area or city. well, i was shipping it to downtown san francisco and it cost $335 bucks. so they are way off on their estimate, and there was no way i could know it was gonna cost that much, because payment for shipping is due upon delivery.
the reason i got the hood because it actually only cost about 50 bucks more to get this hood vs. a new stock hood. and idiot pulled out in front of me and i hit him, he didnt have the right away. so i got an entire new front end, except they couldnt find a new high sport front spoiler, so instead they just fixed the bows in the fiberglass hood for free to fit better. the hood is painted black, and i did custom painted pinstriping on the hood and car.
so the hood + fixing the bows + paint + shipping = probably around 1200. i only had to pay the shipping thats why i did it.
