Default drive shaft assy replacement tricks

Need some serious help! 2000 ss replacing the drive shaft assy on the drivers side. I have the shaft out, except the cv hub on the transaxle will not come out. Is there some trick to this? Shop manual says to use a hammer-pully on the RIGHT SIDE. For the left it only says to use a prybar. Do I need a bigger bar? Thanks in advance for any help. My only car and there is that work thang come Monday morning.
