Default Diablo Predator Tuning info...

If anyone's interested or is looking for info on using the Diablosport Predator for tuning their cars, here's a couple of write-ups I did on the Diablosport forums... they made them stickies as well, in the Predator GM forum...

>> LS2/LS7/LS4 - LOGGING & ADJUSTING INJECTOR SLOPE & PE <<

>> Macros for filtering log data... << (you need to be logged into their forums to download the macros.xls file - or send me an email/PM if you want it, since I can't post anything but images here)

Thanks Red! yes, the Predator has a couple different tunes that disable the DOD - one for 93 octane and one for 91 octane. I run the Diablo Tune No DOD - that's the 93 octane tune with the DOD disabled/turned off.

Not sure about the difference in power between having the DOD on or off. The first tune I loaded was the one that still had DOD turned on, but I didn't like the little surge you can feel when it switches between 4 and 8 cyl. mode. So, I installed the No DOD tune to turn it off and haven't looked back.

And, even though I'm always in V8 mode now, my mileage actually went UP once I got the fueling all dialed in.

That is actually 2 SWEET!!! I'm hoping once I get my headers on this weekend that my mileage goes up as well... technically it should but we will see.

Hey, 06MonteSS what kind of HP improvements did you get with the tuner. I am looking at getting one and was curious if you have taken her to the track after tuning and what were the numbers before and after! I am looking for low 14's in 1/4 and I'll be perfectly happy!

as good at the tuner might be, it still lacks the abilities of something like the DHP powertuner or the HP tuners. i would make sure before you spend the money on a diablo sport that one of the above tuners doesnt work. cause i know a few people who end up selling their hand held tuners to get one that has more customization.

Yeah, the DHP and the HP Tuners are a pain to start with, but they are so much better in the end. It's exactly the same as when you start repairing your car yourself. It takes forever the first time you do something like change the alternator, but after that it saves so much more money than bringing to the garage.
