with that being said....
Then I highly recommend buying and using a AC Delco MAF.
I would also consider cleaning the IAC (Idle air control) and the TPS (throttle position sensor) while your at it.

OK, a few things I have:
- First, your original post made this sound like a condition that happened right after changing the MAF. But this is a couple months out, correct?
- Second, what lead you to change the MAF in the first place?
- Third, poor man's way in a pinch to see if the MAF is a related part of the problem, car off, unplug it. If the symptoms go away, it's very probably.
- Forth, after market MAF's are prone to fail, if you still have warranty, see if you can exchange it OR get a refund. If neither is an option, try MAF cleaner.
- Also consider pulling the t-body off, cleaning the back side of it and the IAC and IAC cavity on the T-Body.

I had thought my MAS was bad. I got a CEL Dorothy and everything. (it was actual a wiring issue) I got a MAS from a place in Brooklyn through EBay, $36 aftermarket. It worked for a week the. I started having the Same Exact issue as you. Starts fine when cold, had to hold the gas for about a minute when starting her warm or hot. I had kept my old MAS. After a month of this, I put the old MAS back in., fixed the bad wire and have not had any problems starting her since. I didn't think Stumpmi ()r The_Maniac new what they were talking about that aftermarket sensors would not work. I was wrong.
Only use OEM replacement sensors! Aftermarket mechanical parts are fine!

Now knowing the original symptoms, I agree it's not good having the engine cut out on the freeways (or anywhere). Heck, i had a car that would periodically use all electrical power for about 5 seconds (so the engine would cut out, all light go out and it happened at least once a day). That car was found to have a badly corroded connection at the starter.
Anycase, the symptoms you mentioned could point to a bunch of situations. I'd recommend the "poor man's" test of disconnect the MAF and see if the symptoms go away. 03SSLE has posted directions in the past to validate if the MAF is bad or not using a volt meter (that would be the real proof).
You may also want to consider having your ICM and ICM wiring checked.
