A/C gets warm when I accelerate '00 LS
What would cause the a/c to blow warm when the engine speed increases? I read that there's a vacuum hose for the fifth generation montes that causes this problem but couldn't trace anything like that on mine, and the air doesn't stop blowing, it just gets warm for a minute and slowly gets cooler again. The A/C has always worked but I had it vacuumed and recharged just to be sure and the problem is still there.
Thanks for any help,
Aaron

IIRC the A/C compressor has a clutch system which disengages at full throttle as to not rob power or something along those lines. But I'm pretty sure that's normal. Stop punchin' it, if you stay off 100% throttle it should be cool still.

Yea, X3, its normal. If I got WOT with the A/C on in my Monte, or any of our cars for that matter, I notice the A/C goes warm for a min, then comes right back to cold. I think like PacerSS said, I think it is programmed to disengage the A/C conmpressor cluth at WOT.
