Wont Accelerate..
Hey I have a 1998 Monte Carlo LS its the 3.1
It has trouble accelerating and usually wont go past about 2000rpm but has gotten worse to where it wont go past 1500rpm.
This happens even when the car is in park/neutral..

Is the check engine light blinking? If it is then you are having a ton of misfires, which would be something wrong in the ignition system. It could also be that the cat is plugged, or you are not getting enough fuel pressure from a weak fuel pump\plugged fuel filter. I would also test the fuel pressure, and see what it is reading too.
