I want to get more power out of my 3100 but I've seen you can't get a supercharger, any ideas??

 

You could swap a 3400 top end, but you'd need to convert to OBD2 and need a wiring harness I + sensors I think. A lot of work for 20 HP... Maybe a Grand Am turbo kit? You're gonna have to do some fabrication regardless.

You're kinda limited... Maybe an intake and a PCM tune, that's about it...

 

Where can you even get a pcm tune for a 3100..

You could probably get Milzy to do a tune, or go to 60degreev6 and ask them...

 

I see milzy has 3100 pcms, but after what trewyn15 has said about his milzy tune, i dont know if it would be a good idea But yes welcome to the slow world of the 3100, not much you can do really

Probably the BEST mod you can do is pull the 3100 and drop in a 3400. I know from of the early/mid-90's grand am guys did that. From what I've read NO PCM changes required in that swap and it works with your existing trans. The 3400 is a better performance build off the 3100 block and they are readily available.
