You need a tuned PCM from a vendor (ZZP, Overkill, Wbodystore, whatever your preference)

Change the title to: "Thinkin bout researching on some PCMs for the monte?"

Chips are worthless for our cars.

"chips" are resistors that trick your car into thinking it is using cold or warm air, so the engine just dumps fuel or pulls fuel.

There is no benefit to that at all.

The chips made for our cars are resistors, not all chips are just resistors though, like in trucks.

But a truck chip won't work in your monte

Personally, I have the Overkill tune and I love what he does. ZZP has a tendency of mixing up the PCMs they send out and give you the wrong ones.

But all the vendors listed above are good - only one to stay away from is Intense - they were the ones that were blowing up peoples cars.
