basically, i just got the rear seal fixed so it would stop leaking. since i hardly drove it before it went to get fixed, i thought the leak was the problem. now, i got it out on the road the other day and i get into 2nd hoping to floor it into 3rd, just engine turning. i let it coast down to 1st gear and next i attempt to slowly get into 3rd,nothing. WTF is the problem now? i read it could be the governor sticking or it could be tv cable not aligned? im almost ready to cut my loses and part ways with my 1st car i never(hardly) got to drive.. thanks

 

Id check the kickdown cable/Linkage go to the trans.

Its a simple fix...
May just need a new cable? could be also corrosion in the cable caseing..
Try lubeing it thoroughly with some WD40 before you replace it...
Could be in a bind/kinked?

Is the transmission full of fluid?
Maybe.. depending on mileage..
Its time for trans filter fluid change?
