Default 4T65E Hard Shifting and whining noise???

Hello everyone, I have a 2003 Monte Carlo 3.4 with 77,000mi and I believe it has the 4T65E trans. I had the trans fluid changed at 60,000mi. I noticed a while back when I would shift into low 1, the trans would make a whining/hissing sound. Now I am noticing when the trans is warm only, I hear the whining/hissing noise in all gears and have hard shifting between 1 & 2 and 2& 3. Also I find that if I move the shifter slowly in the space between two different gears, the sound stops, but once I move back into gear, I hear the sound again. I've read up alot on this issue and am wondering if the general consensus is that the problem is the pressure control solenoid? I have not yet had a diagnostic run on it to see what, if any codes are showing. I would hate for the problem to be a clutch pack or trans pump.

Anyone have any thoughts?

Thanks

As far as I know all the transmission silenoids are internal..
I would recommend takeing it to a transmission shop and have them do a scan to findout what it could be causeing the issue noises...

this definitely sounds like a bad shift solenoid...mine started @ 45k. the cost to do a partial rebuild is far higher than a used trans from a yard....

I know this sounds pretty basic...but have you checked the fluid level? I've had a tranny be grossly overfilled by a transmission shop before, and it whined terribly when warm. Once the level was corrected, the transmission was operating normally. Just thought i'd throw that out there, as it would be a welcomed fix I'm sure. LOL

The fluid level is good and looks to be in good condition and doesn't smell burnt. The trans shifts smooth and is quiet, until it gets warm.
