Default 3400 injectors?

I was thinking of a way of getting a few more HP for not too much bank and though, hey, could I swap out my injectors for a bit more HP? A good change of the wires?

What do you guys recommend? If yes, any products you think I should be looking at?

i don't really think that changing your injectors will get you much H.P unless they are already @ there limit's because most of them can push more than they are set for stock.
i think that 00+ 3400 injectors are 55lbs @ idle so with a tuner you should be able to bump it up some
but if you want more than the stockers can give try some l67 ones you will need a adaptor to make them work

How would bigger injectors give more power? They are typically setup for 80% duty cycle stock, meaning you have more headroom horsepower wise before your injectors goes static at WOT (the point where you must upgrade injectors). If you put in bigger injectors- its just going to open them for a shorter period (lower duty cycle), and you will end up with the same power.

New plugs/wires won't help either- the stock ones are perfectly fine.

What are you refering to with the 55 lbs? They're not 55 lb/hr injectors- they're much smaller. Also, his fuel pressure should be lower than that at idle- not to mention, you can't change fuel pressure with a tuner- I thought it was a normal return, FPR style system on his car?

ok my mistake on the lbs thing i ment psi
a stock 3400 96-99wot @42psi and a 00+wot @56psi
and yeah you have to change the pressure at the fpr the tuner would be to pulse it longer

Try www.milzymotorsports.comthey are one of the few companies who support that engine.

The bad thing, is the $/hp on upgrades is pretty bad with the 3400. I would say a pcm tune (or buy a tuned drop in pcm) would be decent- about the only other real easy mod is like a CAI/FWI, and a ported TB, and then minor exhaust work.

The way to make any decent power changes on any NA engine is heads/cam- and both of these are expensive and difficult to do.

Maybe a 3100/3400 expert could chime in to help suggest more cheap/easy mods that are worth doing.
