RE: 3.8 supercharger question
so swaping the hd for the regular tranny in a supercharged monte would make for better passes?

RE: 3.8 supercharger question
oh i was just asking my monte is na for the time being anyway nice to know i got the better tranny
However, the current trans you have (the regular 4t65) will be a pinch faster- and you will have an easier time swapping to a performance torque converter later if you ever choose to do so.

RE: 3.8 supercharger question
ok i have been down this road as well and i am just now seeing this site where they provide the full kit that is a great site and very valuable way of buying the parts IMO dont have to go out and start a scavanger hunt for the parts in a junk yard. I would have a couple of questions in relation to the top swap. It would be, by getting the top swap would it be safe to install a shift kitto the tranny and getting your PCM tuned?

A shift kit is just fine as long as you don't go for the hardcore setup (the really long spacers with the super stiff springs)- there's no reason to be going around banging every gear so hard it feels like the car is gonna fall apart- at least not on a street car; but any normal shift kit would be just fine.
You need to have your pcm tuned (or use an L67 pcm) for a swap anyways, but pcm tuning is always a good thing if the tuner is good. Thats pretty generic across any vehicle/engine combo.
