2003 Monte 3.4 Engine Swap
Ok im almost positive theres info on this somewhere but I cant find it.. I have a 03 Ls Monte Carlo, 3.4 im considering one of two things, buying a rebuilt 3.4, which Im hoping to find a place to save the most money? Or two how hard is it and worth wild too put a bigger motor in, or is that even possible?? Like one from a SS..Im very curious?? My car actually runs well now but im nearing 150k and I just want to be prepaired, and Ive made many upgrades so far, so I will be going as far as possible with this ride as long as my wallet permits..
can swap to the 3800 n/a or 3800 s/c

with the 3.4 and up motors are a pretty good motors allaround as lond as you do the up keep to it it will run great till the doors fall off. if there is some thing wery with the engin i will under stand the swap whay you will need if you are going to upgrade the engin to the 3.8 you eill need as well a wire harness and a pcm with it. if you are going with the 3.4 you can get all the goddies for it befor the install like a better water pump better headers and a port and polish on the heads and all of the intake and exaughst. also it will be a good running car if you take your time with the install of the 3.4. but the 3.8 engine will caust more to do the swap
