Default 2000 monte carlo ss low oil pressure

Hey guys. Just new to this fourm and the monte carlo. I recently purchased a 2000 monte carlo ss with the 3.8. It was sitting for roughly a year before i purchased it. I brought it to get certified. The repairs were a new MAF sensor. Struts and mounts tie rods and he removed the resinator. After driving it for about an hour I shut it off and it sat for about 10 mins. I started it again and it started to make a loud chirping noise. As Iwas driving it back to the shop i was sitting at a light and the oil pressure light came on and the pressure was basiclly at 0. I gave it some gas and the pressure level came back up. It acted much like the rpm guage going up with acceleration and down when i slowed down. I got it to the shop and it started to make a loud knocking noise. Also when sitting at a light with the breaks pressed lightly it would shake like it wanted to go forward. What the hell is going on? I've already put 1000$ into it and now this. The engine is a 3.8 and the oil level was good! The car has 232km on it....any advice or knowedge to be shared would be greatly appreciated! Thanks guys

Wouldn't the engine light be on or something? No lights show up besides the low oil pressure light when its at the light.

So the mechanic doesn't know what is wrong with it yet. Worst case Ihave to get a new engine. Just wondring if I could take a 3.8 supercharged engine from a grand prix gtp and put it in there. I know ill have to re program the computer but will any of this work. What else do Ineed to change to run the new engine with the supercharger?

A little bit of wiring but the extra harnesses you need Zzp sells, need fuel rails from a SC car as well.. Also are you keeping your trans or swapping them to? If you keep yours you will have to switch flex plates because of different converter sizes... that's all I can think of right now lol

Just curious, why bump this zombie thread from 2013? The OP hasn't been online / made any posts since then either.
