Default 1987 SS how far can I go?

so i finally got my 7th Monte Carlo, 87 SS that appears all original. my question is how much of the emission stuff can i get rid of while still keeping the computer happy. IE no check engine light comes on. so far all i have done is take the belt off my air injection pump and it dosent come on, so how much can i take off? the car runs great and gets over 20mpg on trips. what headers would yall recommend running? do i need to find ones that have the 02 sensor bung in it?

You can remove the air pump and all hoses. You can remove air tubes and put plugs.
You have to keep the egr unless you want to get a ZZ4 chip.
