Car Payments? How far will you go, to own that car?

$300.00 is my limit.

 

mine are 483 now

 

mine are 350.00 now but that is becuse i pay extra each month on them to knock them down faster.

we also have 4.0 intreast on it.

but walk in there and tell them you want your payments about 50.00 threw 100.00 cheaper then you are expecting to pay. if they cant come up with the numbers then tell them no thanks and walk away. dont let them play with you on this one . they can come down to meet you if they want to . or at least come closer to it.
I told them io refused to pay more then 300.00 a month for mine. due to us paying the 490.00 a month on the mini van i was not real happy about getting a higher payment.

so i said 300.00 they came up with 320.00 and then i added the extended warrenty. and it brang it to like 345.00 a month .
but i had to sell the warrenty back to them due to commign to Germany it is not honnored here.
Go figure lol
so my actuall payment would be like 320.00 a month but i pay 350.00 to pay it down faster/

On my new '06 LS (3 weeks old 400 miles) my payments are $150.00 for 72 months with 0%. I wanted $165.00, but with $20 is close enough.

It replaced my '96 Beretta 3.1 V-6 with 86,000 miles that the rear head gasket was leaking for the past year. Traded it in for a Superior Blue Monte Carlo.

 

Right now I pay $176... the most I was willing to pay was $250. I'm pretty far ahead though and should have it paid off in another year or so (after only 2.5 years instead of 5).

I'm thinking about selling it though.. I dunno.

 

i knew going in i could affored more then what i wanted to pay so i didnt fight it to much so i could pay it off faster but you can walk in and give them a dollar amount you want to pay for the car and also a monthly bill amount and they can get pretty close if not beat it sometimes.

my mom used to go in to the dealer and get thier best price then would go to other dealerships in the area with in about 100 miles and see if they could beat the price on the car.

Also another tip for you when buying a car dont buy it in a large city. they pay higher taxes on thier lots etc. so you will get nailed for that in your car payments and end price.

So it is sometimes worth giveing a cal to a dealer out sid eof the local area to see if they have what you would like for a car and if they can get the prices you want for it.

I am at $380 now, for the right car (New Challenger, Camaro, GTO etc.) who knows what I might be capable of...lol
