Well tonight I went out to Portland International Raceway for the last time this year (or is it? mwahahahaha). It turned out to be a nice day so I went out with a couple PDXCGP buddies and raced. I am happy to announce that I made three personal bests tonight, the best of which was achieved on my fourth run of the night.

My first run was against a Honda Civic:
Civic: 17.098 @ 78.94
Me: 14.821 @ 92.38
Score 1 kill for me.

My second run was against a '67 Mustang:
Me: 14.735 @ 92.49
Mustang: 16.217 @ 85.09
A personal best and another kill.

My third run was against a Ford Focus:
Focus: 15.838 @ 90.44
Me: 14.733 @ 92.45
Another personal best (by .002 seconds) and a third kill.

My fourth run was against a VW GTI:
GTI: 15.077 @ 93.14
Me: 14.676 @ 92.72
My current personal best and another kill!

My fifth run was against a 5.0 Mustang:
Mustang: 14.355 @ 96.69
Me: 14.752 @ 92.44
Eh, I guess I gotta lose sometime right? It was a very close race. I had him 3/4 of the way down the track, but he passed me a little bit before the finish.

I could hardly believe that I got so close to a 14.5. I am very happy that I achieved this.

 

Hi Dustin, Enjoyed your post & honesty, especially
the race with the 5.0. Great times, but I would slip a
bottle on your Monte & blow the 5.0 away. : )


*Note 2 the Admin & Moderators: I've noticed that the
adds I view on the MCF homepage has pictures of the
FORD Mustang in them: ie. K&N Filters & Jegs automotive.
If they want me to purchase their products ? ...they
should create their post with Monte Carlos
