okay, cause i have now went to several websites and including chevrolet.com and that number doesn't work with any of them. if you could go to that dealership design link i posted and see the spoiler they are advertising i would appreciate it. i am going to call them tomorrow and see if i can get a couple pictures and maybe a schematic drawing of it or something.

ORIGINAL: 2 quick4u

The 06 & 07 stock spoilers will not fit the holes on the surfboard type, you have to use the race inspire one or pace car. which are like a aftermarket type. If you look at the pictures i posted it shows all the holes in them and how it is mounted. I don't and can't get a pic from the other type but it will fit from what i am told. Check my post again i posted the GM part number for it. If someone has one it is not that much trouble for them to open up the trunk and take a picture of the bolt holes and then everyone can see for themselfs. I know everyone says that has one says no holes drill so if you post it we can see for ourself and put it to rest.

When you have 4 different part numbers then yes there is a difference in there somewhere. There is4 spoilers for the 2000 to 2007 Montes. Surfboard, which will interchange with all that has the surfboard.. The upright 2000 to 2005 and the2006 to 2007 then you have the other one that came on the LTZ or LT the SS uses both types. A lot of the parts people do not know about all the spoilers that are on so they look at pictures only. my post with the pictures are the ones GM parts people know about the other are just if you can find a parts person that is willing to look up parts. The part numbers are located on the bottom of each spoiler.

I hope someone will post a picture of theres so we can settle this.

i got an 06 spoiler on my 2002 monte carlo .....**** ill get a pic and you all can see it for yor selfs ..............

Manny I have not tried this myself i am going by part #'s and pictures of each spoiler. Please post the picture of showing both top and bottom of trunk. Read what i wrote and look at the pictures that i posted and you can see that the holes do not match.. Like i said in other post the SS came with 2 spoilers.. the pace inspire and the factory one which are 2 different ones. The 06 you got might of been the pace one. Check the part numbers,we are trying to figure this out. So that is why I ask for a picture to see and settle this.

ok boys here it is .........dont believe what GM or anyone that has never tryed this for some resaon they are not comparing the 2 spoilers to know for sure ......but since i have done the change of 2002 surfboard spoiler into a 2006 spoiler here are the pictures to prove that the holes are in the same spot ..........

this is the 2006 spoiler on my 2002

and this is the holes where the bolts and nuts are marked in red .to prove that its the same has 2002 surfboard

in the center of the spoiler thers no holes ....they come with 2way tape...

ya just by looking at the one you showed there im sure anyone with the surfboard spoiler know they will never fit.....or match the holes.........

so if your looking for a spoiler that will go with your car without drilling any holes my spoiler that i have now if the way to go ..........i it looks so much better......

I hope now between Manny pictures and mind we all know what to look for now...
Thanks Manny for the pics because i could not get any to show, The dealers had to do something when they came out with the surfboard on the SS and people wanted the upright so they made this after market one so the holes would match with out drilling the trunk and repainting.

We got this settle for sure now..in a civilize way.

2quicki bought one originally like the one you posted, but i didn't think about looking to see if they would match up or not. and of course they didn't, thats why i started this whole post. i wanted to find out which one would. i am probably going to buy mine from dealeshipdesigns because its very affordably through them. thanks for the picture manny! i really appreciate it and all the help everyone has given me.
