What wheel cleaner do you use... Unless you know what you are doing for specific type of wheel, or cleaning etc.. I recommend a PH balanced wheel cleaner.. I never did this to the wheels they were like that when I bought the car a few years ago. But yea most likely someone probably left some harsh wheel cleaner on them. I haven't notice it getting worse during winter with the salt out. I think I'm pretty much set on just painting them black. Cheap and easy, and I know someone who can do it for me. Here's what I did on microsoft paint for an idea of what they would look like. Looks pretty good imo.
