Paint Peeling...

Paint Peeling...
The paint under my rear tailight is peeling on my 2001Monte Carloand I hate it.I want to get it fixed up. I'm assuming that the paint all needs to be stripped on the entire rear decklid. About how much would it cost to have the entire rear decklid stipped and repainted at an auto body shop? I have a picture of it attached.

RE: Paint Peeling...
Actually, if you find a good body shop, for about 100-150 bucks, they can wet sand it, fill it in with body filler, and give it 2 coats and a clear coat, and hopefully blend it really nicely. I had something similar on my mother's monte on her hood, peeling really bad, for 140 bucks, they fixed it up really nice.

yah it shouldn't be much to do that, just make sure you take it to a good body shop, usually ones that do insurance claims are the best, but dont go through insurance, they're just usually the best shops

RE: Paint Peeling...
actually if you are the orginal owner of the car go back to teh dealer and throw a fit.
I forget the warrenty on the paint but i know it is more then the millage on the motor etc... so ya might chek in to that also. if they dont do it for free they might be abel to give you a better discount on it due to it being thier fault.
that looks liek they had greasey finger when putting on the deack lid on before paint.
