Another way is to
1)wash
2)Meguires De wax
3) Meguires Polish
4)Meguires Scratch 2.0
5) Jax Wax

With these steps I get a smooth as glass finish. I Clay it about every 4 months. ( I drive it from May- October) I buff it once a year as far as waxing and hand wax/polish etc it the rest. Every one I talk to, including police* I get very good comments.

nice pink but theres something horribly wrong with that.

Meg scratch X 2.0 is a scratch and swril remover that should be your number 2

Meg polish should follow that to deepen the wet look. so here is wat u should do, it will look the same maybe even better.

1 wash
2 meg scratch x 2.0
3 meg polish - prefured meg nxt gen tec wax 2.0
4 meg wax or jax wax

pink do u use a buffer, da, or by hand?

if ur useing the sctach x by hand use alot of pressure and remember what mr miyagi said " wax on wax off" seriously no swirls and it looks really good.

Make sure to hit the tires with tire shine first so the wax dont stick to the wheels.

sorry if i come off telling you what to do its really a sugestion all i ask is to give it a shot you might surprise yourself i no i did.

lol it's alright. I sometimes get the two mixed up when talking about it. I buffed my car once. And will try to resist it to once a year thing. I usually polish and wax by hand. Not sure if you seen this polish, and I cant think of the name, but it's in a tan tin, with a 60's corvette on it. The price is around $24.00...ever use it or heard of it?

mmm nope but u pay for what you get so chances r u might have some good polish. The meguires tec wax is around 16.00 and up, i seen in up to 20 dollars and i laughed. I really like meguries tho because they do carry a professional line , but try ur stuff in about that order and then take some pics.

I know this thread has been dead for weeks, but I want to give my thoughts on it too. I bought some ICE car wash for $7, mixed it in a bucket of tap water, rinsed the car down with buckets of water first then completely washed the car with a sponge and the car wash, then rinsed and dried, then applied wax. The directions to applying wax are on the back of the bottle, I bought ICE wax, comes with its own pads and polishing rags, it works very well, keeps the car shiny for weeks.
