Am I not doing something right??

I've used Meguiars Hot Shine (not the foaming stuff). I've been 100% happy with it. A nice light coating/spray and I give it about 10 minutes (enough time to clean up my car wash stuff) and it's good to go. My only issue is it leaves residue on the driveway for weeks lol
But it does not take a lot to give a great shine and I've never had problems with it.

That stuff works great! It doesn't make your tires "shiny" but it gives it a nice clean black new tire look sheen.

Here's a good tip from someone who actually works at autozone.
We just got free samples of the new BLUE MAGIC tire shine aerosol. So far out of the many items I've tried I've noticed NO sling, and it stays glossy even after the first week. Another good product would be the Voodoo tire shine. Its not as heavy as the other trigger products.
