2001 SS Monte Carlo Dash Lights Issue
Hello all,
i am new to this forum and was wondering if i could get some help...so couple days ago my dash lights and my Gauge next to the automatic roof got really dim at night. It only looks really dim at night when the auto lights come on. I have checked most fuses..going to check the rest today and see if one is out, but i don't believe one to be out. What can i do to fix this?
Also when i turn the *** for the lights to the brightest setting nothing happens. My lights on the outside work, tail lights, head lights, turn signals, all that. Just my dash lights and the one next to roof are super dim and i can barely read them...thanks.

The instrument panel lighting dims by design when the lights come on. When you rotate the switch handle does the dome light get brighter/dimmer? If not, the switch needs to be replaced.

???
Hey thanks for the reply! yeah the lights dont dim like they should when you mess with the ***. They go one level of dimness, super low as if not even on. Barely can see the radio...where is that switch located at to fix this perhaps?>

Ouch, spendy fix.... yet it is good news and thanks for the info on your fix. May help other members with a similiar issue. Yeah now you can see them at night.
