Update--I got my car back in and went for a ride with a mechanic. Based on how the car drove for him he felt it was a balance problem and ruled out the other front end possibilities. I was glad to hear that, because I was seeing $$$$ in my future. They rebalanced the wheels and it has made an improvement. The road force balance machine was broken. This puts weight on the wheel while balancing to simulate a vehicle's weight. I'll go back in to have them put on that just to make sure there's nothing wrong with the tires. It seems to me the balancing procedure shouldn't be that difficult to get right unless there is a problem with the wheels or tires.

Good news, Glad it worked out for you..
I pick up my car one time and they had 6in of lead on one wheel. I didn't even test drive it, I just told the to redo it. It is amazing how bad some shops are at balancing tires.. It took 5 times for sears to get my wife's jeep tires correct..
